About the position

As a Preparedness Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting impact analyses, developing continuity plans, identifying threats, assessing likelihood and impact, and proposing measures to reduce vulnerabilities.

We are looking for two specialists for our unit to strengthen our capabilities in risk analysis and continuity coordination. Both roles work closely together to create a comprehensive chain – from identifying threats to managing consequences.

Based on the strategy for Civil Preparedness Network, you will ensure access and use of capacity for all types of events along the entire escalation ladder for Civil Preparedness and total defense. The strategy includes risk management, continuity management, crisis management and war organization, training and exercises, preparedness supplies, repair readiness, strategic agreements, and fortification protection. Depending on your background and/or interests, there is a great opportunity to influence the content and direction of the role.

Your tasks will also include:

• Coordinating the Network division's activities related to our strategy for Civil Preparedness, producing analyses, proposals for solutions, and priorities from a preparedness perspective
• Leading and developing the work with continuity management
• Leading and developing the work with risk and vulnerability analyses
• Acting as a requirement setter towards other departments/units within the division to ensure that the right capacity exists to handle potential disruptions in operations
• Mapping important operations and processes
• Continuously participating in the work of conducting analyses based on changing external conditions

As a Preparedness Specialist, you will belong to the Civil Preparedness Network section and the underlying unit for Civil Preparedness Planning. The section works comprehensively for the entire Network division and currently consists of 12 people. The section was formed in 2023, which gives you the opportunity to be part of the continued development of the section and units within the area of Civil Preparedness.

The role of Preparedness Specialist requires a strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally as you will have extensive contact areas within the division, with other divisions at Svenska kraftnät, and also externally. Business development is an important part of the role, as new working methods and a focus on lead time reduction and efficiency are required to meet the high growth rate.

About you

Required qualifications:

The role of Preparedness Specialist requires a strong relationship-building ability as you will have extensive contact areas within the division, with other divisions at Svenska kraftnät, and also externally.

We see that you have a relevant university or higher education in engineering, political science, risk management, leadership and management, law, or another higher education that Svenska kraftnät assesses as equivalent. Furthermore, you have:

• Several years of experience working in trunk or regional networks, or other critical infrastructure
• Relevant work experience and good knowledge of civil preparedness and total defense
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Driving license B

We consider it meritorious if you have experience in:

• Experience in requirement setting for operations based on civil preparedness and total defense
• Experience in project management or project coordination
• Experience in continuity management for electricity supply
• Experience in risk and vulnerability analyses for electricity supply
• Experience in conducting your own investigation at an authority
• Experience in working with requirement and control documents
• Handling security classified information and/or systems

• The position is located in (Stockholm/Sundbyberg, Västerås, Gothenburg, Sundsvall, Luleå, Sollefteå)
• Possibility for remote work up to 50% #LI-hybrid
• Travel may occur a few times a year
